"Transitions sans Frontières" (French for "Transitions Without Borders") is a not-for-profit organization based in French Polynesia. Our bilingual (French - English) boarding house hosts adolescents from the remote Polynesian islands with no access to a high school, who must leave their families in order to continue their secondary education. We host boys who have a passion for the well-being and development of their Polynesian homeland and who want to become catalysts for change for a better Polynesia. We offer an extra-curricular leadership program over the course of two and a half years to fulfill these ambitions. During their stay, we assist students with their homework and support their growth with after-school and week-end activities personalized to their interests, needs and objectives.
Our team is composed of professional educators, who are passionate and dedicated to the happiness and growth of each of our boarders. Our goal is not only their academic success and preparation for post-secondary education, but also the development of their potential, in a serene, caring, family-like environment that includes the instruction of civics, respect for self and others, appreciation and preservation of the Polynesian habitats. As M.C. Fleming wisely said: "Education is man's best hope for a better world".
